Overview:
Western Medical Center Anaheim (WMCA) is a 187 bed community hospital. WMCA provides treatment to over 17,000 patients annually. The ED has 11 beds, and is single covered through two 12 hour shifts. Compensation is productivity based. Here are some facts about WMCA:
* On call services: FM/IM, Peds, OB/GYN, Surgery, Ortho, ICU, Cardiology
* Excellent ED Nurses, Techs, and ancillary staff
* Excellent relationship with attending staff
Requirements:
* California Medical License
* Emergency Medicine or Primary Care residency trained
* Current ACLS, ATLS and PALS
* DEA License with California registration
About the Community:
WMCA is located in the heart of Orange County. Ocean beaches are nearby, along with Disneyland and Knott's Berry Farm. Cheer on the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim or the Anaheim Ducks; or take advantage of the tremendous opportunities for shopping and dining.
Compensation:
Physicians are independent contractors and are given base rates with the opportunity to earn productivity pay at specific sites. VEP provides independent contractors with pension plan administration, flexible schedules, and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a stockholder which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company.
