Colusa is an hour from Sacramento and two hours from San Francisco. Moreover, Colusa is close to many of the wildlife areas for which California is famous. Driving time to the northern California Coast at Fort Bragg is 3 hours, Lake Tahoe 2 ½ hours and Mt. Lassen Volcanic National Park is 2 hours.

Compensation:
Physicians are independent contractors and are given base rates with the opportunity to earn productivity pay at specific sites. VEP provides independent contractors with pension plan administration, flexible schedules, and paid malpractice insurance with tail coverage. Physicians also enjoy the benefit of becoming a stockholder which allows them to be actively involved in the governance of the company.
