Emergency Medicine – Western Pennsylvania
Excellent position for a Emergency medicine physician. Must be ER trained and boarded OR other boards with ER experience.The ED has 50 hours of physician coverage daily , caring for 43,000annual patient visits with 17% admissions.Separate Urgent Care Next door. Work is 10 hour shifts , currently using the electronic T-system documentation , and evaluate about 75% of the patients within 30 minutes.
Physicians are employed by the hospital and offered $155/hr, incentive bonus, 4 weeks vacation and 2 weeks plus $4000 annually for approved CME activities.
Malpractice and License fees are also paid by the hospital Also Benefits such as
dental, pension plan , long term as well as short term disability
The ER has a dedicated digital radiography suite, Zonare ultrasound, and GlideScope. A lifeflight helicopter is based on site to faciliate emergent transfersto tertiary and trauma centers, Press Ganey patient satisfaction is 90 +percentile
