Play in the Pines of East Texas! Emergency Medicine Physician Opportunity in Longview!
As the incoming physician, you'll join a fast-growing ED. This 130+ bed, full-service community hospital is nearing completion on a major expansion that will almost double its beds as well as double the number of ORs. The 24-room ED has seen significant growth over the past two years (up 12% in 2012 and up another 10%+ for 2013, which may put it over 30,000 for the year) with five full-time ED docs currently covering the unit. There is additional mid-level coverage currently for 18 hours a day. Flexible schedules are available with 12-16 shifts per month (varying from 8-12 hours). Additional income is possible through night coverage for Hospitalists.
This opportunity offers a very lucrative compensation which is RVU based with a floor of $185 per hour and cap of $210 per hour. (Alternatively, a first year guarantee of $200 per hour may be possible). Additionally there is equal profit sharing available after just one year and malpractice and employee benefits are included. Benefits may include: a sign-on and/or commencement bonus, relocation, licensure and CME expenses, medical education stipend, medical education loan repayment assistance and more.
