POSITION SUMMARY:
The Manager of Patient Satisfaction and Special Projects will work closely with the physician VP of Quality to enhance patient satisfaction, quality, and risk management in our 30+ emergency departments. His or her primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and maintain an effective program to improve system-wide patient satisfaction scores to the 90th percentile or higher. In addition, he or she will implement special projects to enhance ED quality and risk management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Design, implement, monitor, and maintain an effective system-wide patient satisfaction program.
* Design, implement, monitor, and maintain effective programs to achieve targets for various ED metrics such as throughput times, TJC core measures, sepsis, pain management, and others.
* Implement special projects as defined by VP of Quality to address various aspects of ED quality and risk management.
* Travel to the emergency departments (15-20%).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
* 2 years experience in patient satisfaction and healthcare quality management.
* Bachelor's degree in business, psychology, nursing or related field.
* Ability to design and implement complex projects, make course corrections, and sustain gains all within agreed upon timeframes.
* Critical thinking, problem solving, and analytical skills.

PREFERENCES:
* Previous experience as an ED or ICU RN.
* Lean Six Sigma Certification.
