About this opportunity:
-Seeking Emergency Medicine Physician
-Board Certified in Emergency Medicine or in process of obtaining cert by ABEM or AOBEM (do not accept ABPS)
-ACLS required
-Residency completed preferred
-531 beds
-33 ED beds + 5 psych beds
-51K annual volume, with 23% admit rate, Level III
-Pdoc/Meditech – charting/dictation system
-Minimum of 8-10 shifts perm month ongoing
-See all ages, except NO PEDS
-Sundays – 44 hours of coverage, Mondays – 52 hours of coverage, Tuesday – Saturdays, 41 hours of coverage, (when fully staffed, double coverage)
-Have inpatient Psych and lock down unit in ED. There are 2 ED’s. One is 16 beds, the other is 17 beds. ED and Hospitalist are working toward a team approach to running codes.
-This is a Chest Pain and Stroke Center
- Bridge orders up to 23 hours
-Must complete 1 day orientation prior to working – Mon or Thursday
-2 years of case logs
-TB test, flu
