MUST BE BC/BE in EMERGENCY MEDICINE and FELLOWSHIP TRAINED IN PEDIATRICS. Join an ED with a large underserved population. This is a busy Level 1 Trauma Center that is also a teaching facility for ED residents. The facility is located in the Phoenix area and they need someone to start asap. They work 8 hour shifts and do about 14 shifts a month. The rest of the time is set aside for teaching. The annual volume is 42,000 and 6,000-7,000 trauma. They always have faculty and residents on staff so the ED is fully staffed. Candidates must be okay with academics, high volume ER, and the treatment of underserved populations. Financial: - They offer a guaranteed salary with benefits and bonuses. - Since this is an academic, county, underserved, metro area the compensation is not as high as you would normally get.
