EM’s needed in Non-Faculty, Community Hospital serving Bronx/Westchester, New York
Work near the world famous Bronx Zoo, Bronx Botanical Gardens and the New York Yankees.
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
• Emergency Medicine positions available in a 350+ bed community hospital serving the northeast Bronx and lower Westchester.
• Ideal candidates are well-trained, with strong clinical skills
• Board-certified with active NYS license preferred
• These are non-faculty, community hospital positions working in a university setting.
o 62,000 volume ED with 72-80 hours of physician coverage and 60-72 hours of PA coverage.
o 18% overall admission rate.
o Large geriatric population.
o 28% of patient population is pediatrics.
o University hospital has IM residency and Geriatric fellowship programs.
o Salary of $240,000 plus an additional $50,000 for dedicated night shifts.
o Clinical hours are 1608 per year.
o Generous vacation, CME and comprehensive benefits package.
