El Centro Regional Medical Center (ECRMC) is a full spectrum ED. The average patient volume is 41,000 visits annually. ECRMC is the base station for the Imperial Valley and has a 4 year old 20 bed ED with state of the art EMR that is very user friendly and streamlines flow in the department (no lost orders). ECRMC has 60 hours of coverage a day (36-Physician and 24-Allied Health Providers. A rooftop helipad and x-ray within the ED are also available.
Recreational activities such as the Salton Sea and the Colorado River attract water-sports enthusiasts, as well as, the many parks and Algodones Dunes. El Centro is the home of the Blue Angels and is located east of San Diego.
