Many of our physicians live in DC, Alexandria, Arlington, and Fairfax, so the hospital is commutable from a variety of different surrounding areas. Below is some information about the facility. Hospital Information Sentara Northern VA Med Center is a 48,000 volume 42-bed ED Physicians also work at the Lake Ridge location, which is a free-standing ED seeing 33,000 patients per year About 17- 20% admission rate High acuity for a community hospital All major specialties covered, Cath Lab with 24 hours of physician coverage daily Hospitalist Medicine program & a dedicated pediatric hospitalist Scribes for all shifts Epic EMR Documentation Supplemental coverage from mid-level providers Full time minimum of 1560 hours year, 130/month Hospital system is in a period of expansion so there are many opportunities for growth Compensation Generous Base plus RVU model averaging $190-195/hour Earn While You Learn Bonus- receive money each month you sign with us while still in residency; $1,000 per month during your junior year of residency and $2,000 per month during your senior residency year.
