AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center has 581 beds in the two divisions:
1. City Division is a busy metropolitan hospital, serving the resident population and the 35 million tourists who visit each year. The Emergency Department has 57,000 annual ER visits and is home of the regions only Level II Trauma Center. The City Division’s ED has 24 hours of double coverage, with 10 hours of NP coverage daily. The ED is equipped with 20 beds in which 2 are trauma and 3 fast track.
2. Mainland Division is situated in the Richard Stockton College campus in Galloway Township, a fast growing and upwardly mobile residential area. This hospital opened a beautiful new ED in June 2005 which includes 24 acute & specialty care rooms, 4 fast-track rooms, 4 major treatment and resuscitation rooms, digital radiology & CT scan, and a child friendly waiting room. The ED has 40,000 annual visits with double physician coverage and 10 hours of nurse practitioner coverage daily.
Atlantic City and surrounding seashore communities offer surfing, fishing, boating and the nightlife provided by large casino hotels. The world famous museums, symphonies, opera, universities and hospitals of New York City and Philadelphia are within a two-hour drive. Excellent schools and safe, friendly neighborhoods are found in the communities surrounding the city.
