Job Description & Requirements
Emergency Medicine - Level 2 - (ER - Level 2) Locum Tenens
Facility in northeastern Alabama is seeking board-certified or eligible Emergency Medicine physician. They will accept Family Practice and Internal Medicine and will consider General Surgery with significant EM experience. ACLS is required for non-ABEM. This is an ongoing need beginning in August with several shift options to choose from. If you would like to hear more, call a Staff Care recruiter today.

Working primarily in emergency rooms, Emergency medicine physicians(locum tenens) are tasked with making high stakes life management decisions in times of immediate crisis. EM physicians regularly deal with complex trauma and exotic conditions, and are highly trained in the stabilization and treatment of a wide range of both adult and pediatric injuries and illnesses.
Required Qualifications
PHYSICIAN Requirements: Must be BE/BC EM, FP or IM (will also accept GS with significant EM experience). If board eligible, must become Board Certified w/in 5 years of completing their residency. If a physician used to be Board Certified and allowed their certification to lapse, the site will still accept them as long as they become Board Certified w/in 5 years of getting hospital privileges (we'd prefer this type of candidate to actually be scheduled to take an upcoming board cert exam to ensure this). ACLS required with a strong preference for PALS and ATLS for non-ABEM certified physicians (this includes Board Eligible ABEM physicians)
