EmCare is searching for a Full-Time Emergency Medicine Physician to become apart of our prestigious practice at Palms West Hospital located in the West Palm Beach/(Wellington), Florida. Candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible via the American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) or American Osteopathic Board of Emergency Medicine (AOBEM) with current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) AND Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). This is a very stable and well respected EM group and offers the right professional a unique opportunity for diverse practice experience.
The Department features:
- Total Combined volume of 52,000 patient visits/yr (34K Main ER; 18K Peds ER).
- Palms West features a 14-bed ED and see approximately 34,000 patients per year. (Avg 92 patients/day)
- Admit Rate 15-20%
- Physicians coverage allowing for a comfortable PPH of 2.16
- Separate 10-bed Peds ED treating 18,000 patients per year staffed with Dedicated PEM Physicians
