Evaluate and treat persons presenting to the Emergency Department:
- Direct other health professionals in the care of the customer.
- Arrange for follow up care if necessary.
- Assure stabilization of the customer and safe transport of the customer to a higher level of care when necessary, including contacting the physician who will take responsibility for the customer's care at the receiving facility.
- Provide sensitive and customer friendly service to the patient and other customers including the patient's family.
- Perform other functions as required.
