VISTA is seeking an Emergency Medicine physician that will work 12 hour shifts to provide quality health care to the members of all five Native American/Alaskan tribes. The 20-bed JCAHO-accredited hospital is staffed by five physicians and one physician assistant. This tribal hospital was the first in the country to get the inpatient beds also licensed as swing beds. Patients requiring surgical and more complex hospitalizations are referred to Phoenix Indian Medical Center, about 150 miles away.
Dates: 12 Month Contract
Schedule: 12 hour Shifts
Licensing: Any Unrestricted State License in good standings
Requirements: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Family Practice or Emergency Medicine. Also BLS, ACLS, ATLS, PALS life support certifications.
