Opportunity:
We are recruiting a Dermatologist to join an established Dermatology/MOHS Department. The candidate will join a busy dermatology and MOHS practice with three physicians, three mid-levels and a highly specialized team of support staff. The department offers a progressive work environment, internal referral system and services a population and catchment area of 250,000 people. The ideal candidate will have an interest in general and melanoma dermatological care and the desire to engage in program development, community outreach and education is highly desired.
Essential Functions:
- Provide comprehensive medical services for patients on a continuing basis.
- Responsible for performing examination of patients, using medical instruments and equipment; adjusting to daily patient flow issues to remain on schedule.
- Elicits and records information about patients' medical history.
- Prepares patient records, charts and reports as appropriate.
- Orders or executes various tests to provide information on patient's condition.
- Analyzes reports and findings of tests and examination, and diagnoses condition of patient.
- Administers or prescribes treatments and medications.
- Promotes health by advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods of prevention of disease.
- Works collaboratively and cooperatively with peer providers, and within the organization as well as the community.
- Refers patients to a specialist(s) for consultant services when necessary for their well-being.
- Participate in established practice call group.
The successful candidate will be board eligible or certified (within 5 years of training) with ties to Oregon. We are looking for a candidate who is looking to call Bend "Home" for years to come!
