Job Description

Last Update: 9/18/15

BC/BE dermatologist to join a hospital-based practice. Physician salaries reflect a blend of median figures from MGMA and Sullivan & Cotter surveys along with input from our compensation consultants. There is no call per se; however arrangements would need to be discussed for after hour coverage.

This hospital is a private, non-profit, level II trauma center serving a tri-county area of 170,000 in northeastern New York. It is a regional tertiary center that offers high technology and is JCAHO accredited. It is one of eight state-designated Regional Resource Centers for Emergency Management and is a Designated Area Trauma Center.

The hospital's typical daily census is approximately 284 (approximately 170 acute beds) with 165 physicians on the Medical Staff. Their sub-specialty support is very good. In 2013 they had 10,220 admissions, 96,360 patient days, 1,095 births, 51,100 emergency room visits and 22,265 surgical procedures. They are one of the few New York hospitals that typically operate in the black. We are much bigger than what you would expect in a rural area. The services offered here are advanced and our technology vast.

This pretty community of 38,000 located at the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains. Schools are excellent and offer both private and public. Montreal, Burlington and Lake Placid are all within an hour's drive. Have it all, a progressive medical center with a lifestyle you have been looking for.
