Dermatologist - Physician - (Dermatology) Locum Tenens
The VA is in need of a dermatologist at the Orlando VAMC. The provider needs to be either board certified or eligible. The physician need to have a current and unrestricted state license. The provider will also need a current BLS and DEA. The provider will be working Monday thru Friday 8am-430pm. The average patient load will be 20-30 per day. General dermatology procedures include laser surgery, elcectrosurgery, crysosurgery, chemosurgery, and surgical curettement. The physician will be required to follow up on all inoperative surgeries.
The field of dermatology(locum tenens) focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the skin, such as acne, rashes, and warts, as well as various types of skin cancer. A dermatologist assesses their patients' condition and medical history, performing minimally invasive diagnostic tests. In terms of treatment, dermatologists prescribe preventive medications such as topical ointments or creams and perform surgical procedures when necessary, such as in the removal of tumors or suspicious moles.
