We are seeking an energetic, enthusiastic provider to join our long established dermatology department as we settle in to our new state-of-the art facility. Our department and services are expanding rapidly;we are looking forward to opening an in house Mohs Surgery unit by the end of the year. Interested dermatologists will have ample opportunities for research, teaching, and mentoring both within our facility, and via our affiliation with the University of Central Florida College of Medicine. Provide comprehensive dermatology care to inpatients and outpatients, including evaluation/consultation, examination, diagnosis, follow-up, medical record documentation/record-keeping, and correspondence. Provide appropriate education as needed to patients andfamily members. Perform minor procedures, such as biopsies, shave biopsies, simple excisions, cryotherapy, and intralesional injections. Participate in electronic consultations (e-consults) and telemedicine consultations. Provide resident,medical student, or other trainee education and supervision. Work collaboratively with the primary care provider staff and provide dermatology training as requested. Supervise and mentor mid-level providers such as nurse practitioners or physician assistants. Work collaboratively with the primary care and other referring providers. Provide dermatology education and lectures to primary care providers and/or other staff. Participate in satellite dermatology clinics at one or more of the Orlando VA Medical Center Community Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs). Perform other duties as assigned by Chief of Dermatology, Chief of Medicine, or Chief of Staff. Work or travel between any of the locations within Corporate Orlando. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (NOTE: Work schedules are determined and approved by the supervisor. The incumbent may be required to work various shifts on a permanent or temporary basis based on patient care needs, including weekends, holidays, and nights.)
