I have a new opportunity that just came available in LA. Here are a few details

My client has a new Intensivist program that is starting on August 1st at a Medical Center in Los Angeles, CA. They will need interim locum coverage until they are able to recruit and fill the positions. Below is the job description of the facility and everything that is known at this point:
Lynwood, CA 90262

• 384 bed acute care hospital with Level II Trauma Center
• ICU currently staffed with Pulmonary physicians
• 36 bed ICU – three separate 12 bed ICU pods – Medical, Surgical, and Cardiac Care
• Patients 14 years and older
• 365 day average ICU census is 27 patients with five of the 27 trauma ICU patients. Physicians will not see the trauma ICU patients. Physicians will attend every ICU patients except the trauma patients.
• No mid-level provider coverage in this model
• Physicians will respond to code / Rapid Response / standard ICU procedures
• Centralized codes
• EMR but system is unknown at this time. Once received, I will pass it along.

The fully staffed program will be a 5 physician program… 4 Intensivists and 1 PMD Intensivist. They are starting with a 17 hour coverage model until they are able to fully staff the program. The hours they are needing coverage is from 7am- 5pm and 4pm- 11pm. The physician working 4pm- 11pm will be in house for 7 hours but paid for 10 hours to cover overnight calls. Physician will be working by themselves.

**Credentialing** The hospital will work with us on credentialing, given the timeline. Please ensure that your candidate is willing to complete all credentialing materials in a timely manner, no delays.

the requirements:
• Clean background
• No malpractice
• BCIM, BCIM w/ Critical Care (can be emergency medicine trained and/or anesthesiology trained as well)
• Board Eligible accepted as long as candidate is sitting for boards within’ a year of completing residency
• Orientation information is not known at this time
