Cardiologist Physician - (Cardiology) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 Hour/Day
Locum Tenen Cardiologist needed at the Lawton Indian Health Service Hospital is to provide the best possible health care services to the Native American population in the Lawton Service Unit. Cardiology services shall be provided during a regular clinic day 8:00 - 4:30 PM. Contract Cardiologist shall evaluate, diagnose and treat patients with an array of heart disorders including cardiac arrhythmia, angina, atherosclerosis, congestive heart failure, coronary diseases, and hypertension. Cardiologist shall provide the full range of adult cardiology services in the evaluation, treatment, prevention, and rehabilitation of heart disease including treadmill stress testing, ultrasound imaging, cardiac catheterization, inpatient consultations, reading and interpretation of EKGs interpretation of Holter monitors results. And development of medical treatment plans for cardiac patients.
A cardiologist(locum tenens) is a highly trained physician who studies, treats and diagnoses heart and cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, and heart arrhythmia. Typically, cardiologists make use of medical devices such as electrocardiograms to aid their diagnoses. They also may utilize treatments such as pacemakers or perform major surgeries when more complex or severe circumstances necessitate them.
Required Qualifications
Board certified in Internal Medicine and Cardiology.
The Contract Cardiologist shall have a minimum of two years of meaningful patient contact and responsibility. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification is required for all contracted providers
