A cardiologist(locum tenens) is a highly trained physician who studies, treats and diagnoses heart and cardiovascular diseases such as coronary heart disease, high blood pressure, and heart arrhythmia. Typically, cardiologists make use of medical devices such as electrocardiograms to aid their diagnoses. They also may utilize treatments such as pacemakers or perform major surgeries when more complex or severe circumstances necessitate them.
