Cardiologist Needed in Southwest Virginia

Wythe County Community Hospital is seeking a full time, BC/BE Non-Interventional, Non-Invasive Cardiologist to join its staff.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
• Full time
• MD/DO
• BC/BE
• Candidate should be able to read non-invasive studies to include echo, nuclear diagnostic stress tests, and holter/event monitors.
• Call coverage is 1:3.
• Responsible for inpatient consults and outpatient diagnostic services
• No cath lab or heart surgery.
• Practice in only one hospital; strong referral system with a defined need; excellent reimbursement.
• Available office space adjacent to the hospital
• Hospital has recently attained Chest Pain Accreditation.
• MGMA median commensurate with experience.

ABOUT THE FACILITY
• Wythe County Community Hospital is a 100-bed acute care hospital that serves the residents of Wythe and Bland counties, and is fully accredited by Joint Commission.
• The hospital is located at the intersection of Interstates 77 and 81, which brings thousands of travelers through the area each year.
• The hospital is a 100 bed facility with a 6- bed ICU, 3 large operating rooms, 1 minor procedure room, in-house MRI and 16 slice CT, MD & CRNA anesthesia.
• The hospital offers 24-hour Emergency Care, Surgery, Extended Care Services, Intensive Care, Women's Services, Radiology Services, Rehabilitation Services, Hospice, Home Health, Cardiology, Respiratory, Cancer Services, Pastoral Care, Hospitalist Program and Community/Occupational Education.
