Nash Health, The Boice Willis Clinic, and The East Carolina Heart Institute at Vidant Medical Center are seeking an Interventional Cardiologist with at least 5 years of experience to serve as the Medical Director of their Rocky Mount-based STEMI program. The successful candidate will have an initial focus on the development of a STEMI program with the intent to develop an outpatient practice as the program matures.
Highlights include:
• Employment by Boice Willis Clinic, a multi specialty medical group in Rocky Mount NC with 65 providers
• Cardiology team of 4 physicians
• Hospital privileges at Nash Health (Rocky Mount, NC) and The East Carolina Heart Institute (Greenville, NC)
• New heart center under construction
• Ability to expand and lead a STEMI program
• Call 1:3
• Opportunity to teach
• Affiliation with The East Carolina Heart Institute, a 6-story 122 bed cardiac hospital located an hour away in Greenville, NC

Qualifications:
• Board certification in Interventional Cardiology
• Training in Radiographic and Radiation Protection
• Successful completion of at least 500 PCI’s as primary operator post fellowship
• Experience in management of cardiogenic shock, mechanical complications of MI and hypothermia
Responsibilities:
• Establishment of STEMI call schedule and responsibilities
• Establishment of protocols, policy and procedures
• Collaboration with EMS and ED to ensure optimal care and outcomes
• Oversight of the Chest Pain Accreditation process
• Education of hospital staff
