This is a small but busy, progressive practice of IR, independent from diagnostic radiology (good relationship with them). Excellent pay. Performing all advanced procedures, including: EVAR, advanced PVD interventions including atherectomy, SFA stent-grafting, arterial thrombectomy, carotid artery stenting, etc...; advanced oncology interventions including RFA, chemoembo, SIRT; advanced dialysis access including declots and interventions on native fistulas; ports (but NO PICCS- hospital has excellent PICC nursing team); and all the usual stuff like thoras, paras, and biopsies. We have two GE flat-panal rooms, one of which is where we do EVARs, and a 15 bay recovery room shared with cardiology. We enjoy EXCELLENT RELATIONSHIPS with hospital administration, surgeons, even with cardiology; we all truly try to get along. VITA has opened a clinic for specialty IR evaluation of PVD, fibroids and oncology patients. VITA has exclusive, long term contract with hospital. Archbold hospital has about 264 beds, but is a central referral hospital for the hospital system which has about 800 beds total. We cover just the one central hospital, call, therefore is light. This practice is about practicing advanced IR in a small town setting, with great private and public schools, wonderful small family oriented neighborhoods, and very competitive pay.
