East Texas facility seeks Interventional Cardiologist for locums coverage through the end of 2016. This is a full-time opportunity; the schedule is Monday-Friday 8a-5p with 1:4 call. Typical cases will be general cardiology with interventions and inpatient rounding. Call today for more details.
An interventional cardiologist (locum tenens) is an internal medicine physician who has subspecialized in cardiology, which treats disorders of the heart. Interventional cardiology procedures tend to be minimally invasive (or "open") operations that involve catheterization. Interventional cardiologists make use of treatments such as balloon angioplasty, pacemakers and stents to achieve the desired results.
