MedCare Staffing is seeking a BC/BE Anesthesiologist for a long-term locums position at a VA near Seattle, WA. Coverage begins ASAP and ends 11/30/2014. There is a 6-month extension option to 5/31/2015.
Monday through Friday: 6:30am-3:00pm. No call.
Scope of Practice:The contractor shall provide anesthesia services to VA patients, which includes the following tasks or other duties as assigned by the VA. Administration of all types of anesthesia for Orthopedics, ENT, Urology, Plastic, Thoracic, Vascular and General Surgery, Neurosurgery and Ophthalmology. Immediate post-operative care continuing throughout patient stay as needed. Other clinical duties, including, but not limited to resident and/or fellow and CRNA supervision, completion of clinical documentation, participation in Anesthesia Morbidity and Mortality Review Committee, staff meetings as well as attendance and participation in other committees or ad hoc groups which consider issues that may impact on the Anesthesia section.
Requirements: Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible with any active state license. Certification in BLS, ACLS, or ATLS also needed.
