Job Description: Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an opportunity for a civilian Chief Orthopedic Surgeon at the VA Medical Center in Minneapolis MN. This Chief Orthopedic Surgeon position offers: - Great Patient Population - Outpatient Clinic and Inpatitient care - M-F 7:30 am – 4:30 pm - train & supervise orthopedic surgery residents - 80 hours every 2 weeks - Services include hand;total joint, ankle and foot, spine, shoulder, and sports medecine - currently performing 1200 operating room cases per year and staffs over 12, 000 outpatient visits annually. - Freedom from Malpractice Insurance Worries Job Requirements: The Orthopedic Surgeon will have the following requirements: - Completion of a residency or fellowship in orthopedic surgery - Current board eligibility or certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery - Any State License - 10+ years of experience as Surgeon or Chief Surgeon combination Company Overview: Spectrum Healthcare Resources (SHR) was established in 1988 to deliver systems and processes designed to meet the unique needs of Military and VA Health Systems.
