Family Practice or Internal Medicine/Pediatrics physician to serve as Medical Director in a primary care setting with a focus on the underserved.
The Medical Director has primary responsibility for developing and monitoring the goals and objectives of the annual Health Care Plan, supervision of provider staff, oversight of all Clinical functions, and serving as Supervising Physician for Midlevel providers.
The Practice has been operating since 1978. The patient mix includes self-pay as well as Medicare, Medicaid and those with private insurance. Call is telephone only; no hospital call required. The center is accredited by The Joint Commission, designated as a Primary Care Medical Home and have an active quality improvement program. This is a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) site; therefore, the provider may be eligible for up to $100,000 in federal loan repayment through the NHSC.
The Community: Yanceyville, NC is a rural community located in the central Piedmont area near the Virginia border and is approximately 50 miles north of Durham, NC. It is closest to Danville, VA, and convenient to Greensboro, Roxboro, Chapel Hill, Hillsboro, Mebane, and Burlington.
