OSF Saint Francis Medical Center actively seeks a Women’s Health Director to provide clinical and community expertise relating to Women’s Health issues. The Women’s Health Director will serve as a spokesperson for OSF Medical Group and OSF Saint Francis Medical Center regarding a full range of Women’s Health services at various conferences, seminars and other special events. This Director will need a collaborative approach with Primary Care physicians and Obstetrics and Gynecology providers to provide Peoria and the surrounding areas with accurate knowledge of the vast community women’s health resources available. In addition, the Women’s Health Director will secure new initiatives through the grant process and develop a long-term program plan to address changing needs. Research and community education of new evidence based treatments and technology are integral parts of this position.
The ideal candidate with be Fellowship trained in Women’s Health, board certified in either Family Medicine or Internal Medicine, and have excellent communication skills. An integrated knowledge of Napro-Technology, hormones, osteoporosis, menopause, breast health, gender-specific heart disease and diabetes and other key clinical women’s health issues are necessary.
Leadership in understanding related geriatric, women’s diabetes, urogynecology and gyne oncology is important.
