ARecruitment/Relocation incentive has been approved for this position.The selected candidate will receivea $20,000 incentive with a two year service agreement. The selected candidate will serve as the Clinic Director in Southern AZ VA Health Care System's (SAVAHCS) Casa Grande VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic. The selected physician will serve as both the clinic director and provide comprehensive clinical care to a panel of adult patients, from young adult to elderly. The physician will provide clinical direction to his/her clinic team to optimize patient health and work seamlessly with multidisciplinary team members. The physician and his/her team will support Veteran health care goals and patient satisfaction. The selected physician will achieve quality care standards, order appropriate diagnostic testing, prescribe medications, consult with specialty services and document care in computerized/electronic medical records. The selectee will provide team guidance in patient care in accordance with professional standards, core values and commitment to service excellence using the VA's Patient Aligned Care Team (PACT) medical home' model. The incumbent will be responsible for insuring clinic operations, supporting and leading clinic staff in implementing Veteran's Health Administration and SAVAHCS initiatives and achieving organizational goals. The physician selectee will support hiring, orientation, retention and evaluation of physicians and advanced practice nurses.
