The Section of Cardiac Surgery is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join our practice. The successful candidate will First Assist in the operating room for Cardiac operations; including a full range of coronary, complex valve, aortic and minimally invasive procedures. The candidate will also be proficient in endoscopic vein harvesting, open vein harvesting and radial harvesting. Physician Assistants are expected to provide and coordinate the care and education of the cardiac surgical patients prior to surgery, while an inpatient, and while transitioning back to home. This includes working in the outpatient clinic setting to help with the evaluation of elective, urgent and emergent patients. This position reports directly to the Section Chief of Cardiac Surgery and holds a faculty appointment, at the Instructor level, with the School of Medicine
