Harris Medical Associates is seeking 3 PA’s/NP’S for a 6 month locums assignment with extensions. This is a great opportunity to be part of the solution in helping the brave men and women who have served our country’
The VAMC operates 53 beds comprised of 23 acute care and 30 Transitional Care Unit beds. The VAMC provides primary and secondary care including acute medical, surgical, and psychiatric inpatient services, as well as a full range of outpatient services.
GENERAL SERVICES REQUIRED: Grand Junction Veterans Health Care System (GJVHCS) requires three (3) Physician Assistants or Nurse Practitioners . One PA/NP will be assigned to Surgical Services and two will be assigned to Medical Services.
Place of Performance: The Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners will perform duties at and for the benefit of the GJVHCS Grand Junction, CO
-Experience within the past 24 months with VA systems to include CPRS/GUI and VISTA is desired but not required.
License: The Contractor must show evidence of completion of required Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners licensure,

VA experience for any length of time is preferable
Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30am – 4:00pm
On-Call: Typically not to exceed one weekend per month and two nights per week.
Provide ongoing outpatient care for stable health problems.
Exams appropriate and specific for specialty services for outpatient, inpatient, and Community Living Center (CLC) resident examinations.
Order of routine laboratory, radiologic, and other diagnostic tests.
Initiating and expediting request for consultation and scheduling special tests and studies.
Making daily rounds, documentation in medical record, changing orders when appropriate and notifying the responsible physician of significant changes in the patients’ conditions.
Daily progress notes on all patients (medical & surgical) when rounding
Surgical PA/NP assists surgical procedures.
Be On-Call as required.
