Physicians Assistant - (PA) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 Hour/Day
Come to North Carolina and work in a mountain town known for its wealth of natural beauty. A full service, non-profit, Critical Access Hospital in the Nantahala National Forest is currently seeking an Emergency Medicine Advanced Practitioner. The Emergency Medicine AP will cover blocks of day to evening shifts in a 15,000 annual volume facility. No overnights. Responsibilities will include evaluating, stabilizing and transporting patients in this Critical Access Emergency Department. In your off time, watch the leaves change and visit a waterfall in this smoky mountain wonderland!
A physicians assistant (PA)(locum tenens) practices medicine under the supervision of a physician and/or surgeon. In addition to a bachelor's degree, a physicians assistant must complete 2 years of accredited training. They are trained to provide patient care, diagnose and treat individuals with injuries and illnesses, and administer treatment.
Required Qualifications
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician's Assistant with at least two years of ER experience ; must have BLS certification.
