Physicians Assistant - (PA) Locum Tenens
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: Part Time
Client in need of a specific provider (provider is already committed) to cover July 12, 18, 19, 26. Hours are 8:30 - 5:00 Thursdays and 8:30 to 12:30 on Fridays. Provider will see 3-4 patients per hour, 90% scheduled, 95% adult medical, 1% gynecology, 1% pediatrics, 1% minor medical, 1% minor trauma, 1% geriatrics. Cases include acute illness, physicals, and disease mgmt (diabetes, cholesterol, etc...) Provider will work in clinic only, must have prescriptive authority, no narcotics, no pain management, no worker's compensation. Provider does not have to be familiar with workers compensation.
A physicians assistant (PA)(locum tenens) practices medicine under the supervision of a physician and/or surgeon. In addition to a bachelor's degree, a physicians assistant must complete 2 years of accredited training. They are trained to provide patient care, diagnose and treat individuals with injuries and illnesses, and administer treatment.
