Job Description
The Physician Assistant will work directly with two Board Certified Orthopedic Surgeons specializing in injuries and disorders associated with the Shoulder and Knee and hips.
Under physician supervision, the Physician Assistant is responsible for:
- surgical assistance
- post-operative care
- performing physical examinations in a clinic environment
- obtaining patient histories
- responding to patient questions
- Providing information to patients and their families.
The Physician Assistant also will have call rotation with the supervising physician as well as occasional hospital rounds and discharges for inpatient care.
Physician Assistant candidates must be licensed by the State of New Jersey and possess certification by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants. Preferred candidates will have one or more years’ experience in orthopedics. Additionally, Physician Assistant candidates must have proven ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment within their scope of practice, and have excellent communication skills.
Will have both in and outpatient contact between 20-25 .. no weekends
Salary $85-$110,000 Excellent Benefits!
