Located in Lynchburg, northern Virginia and Richmond, OrthoVirginia has more than 126 physicians, 29 office locations, MRI facilities, outpatient surgery centers and physical therapy clinics.
The OrthoVirginia / Lynchburg office is seeking an orthopaedic Physician Assistant to work with our spine surgeon, providing surgical assisting and office-based responsibilities. In addition, the PA will share evening and weekend on-call with our current Physician Assistants.
Qualifications
In order to be considered, interested PAs must have:
• completed an accredited Physician Assistant training program
• a current, or be eligible for, PA licensure by the Virginia Board of Medicine
• prefer at least one-year of orthopaedic experience, but will consider well-qualified new PA graduates
Compensation & Benefits
Excellent salary for both new PA grads and PAs with orthopaedic experience, as well as annual bonus and paid compensation for weekend on-call coverage.

Our respected team of twenty physicians and ten Physician Assistants has developed a center for excellence to provide the best musculoskeletal care to a referral area of 250,000 central Virginians. In addition to orthopaedic spine surgery, OrthoVirginia in Lynchburg has specialists in general orthopaedics, joint replacement, sports medicine, hand and foot & ankle surgery, rheumatology, physiatry, sports medicine-trained family physicians, and physical and occupational therapy. The practice is fully integrated with electronic medical records (EMR) and information technology. Our new facility houses an MRI, injection suite, and expanded therapy services.
Lynchburg, Virginia is located near the geographic center of the state, in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, placing it close to larger metropolitan areas, such as Richmond and Washington DC. Convenient … and yet miles apart. Within a short drive are beaches along the Virginia and North Carolina coasts, hiking trails and trout streams of the Blue Ridge, and ski slopes at Wintergreen Resort.
