ABOUT THE CLIENT:
Center offers patients access to personalized, innovative clinical trials under the oversight of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), using the newest investigational therapies that target the molecular pathways which impact cancer growth.
ABOUT THE POSITION:
Looking for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide clinical oversight for advanced cancer patients participating in early phase (1 and 2) clinical trials. Works closely with the Executive Medical Director, physician investigators, pharmacist, and center's vice-president of research to assist in the assessment and management of on-going clinical trials. The agents being tested are primarily targeted gene, cellular and immune therapies. The NP or PA would also contribute to the vision and operations of the research center through leadership, mentoring, consulting and being a role modeling expert on how to best care for cancer patients.
Will be working with a clinical staff team of 35. Incoming provider will need to communicate well with patients about new trials and treatment plans, conduct new consults and also manage pain and nausea.
Current Provider works Monday - Thursday 7 - 4.
Client is looking to add two Advanced Practitioners. They would ideally like at least two years of Oncology experience and prefer experience with Clinical Trials.
