Opening for a BC Physician Assistant or a Physician Assistant, with a strong interest and background in Geriatrics, who will provide health care services to acutely and chronically ill Geriatric patients in the General Internal Medicine Section.

Responsibilities include assessment of physical and psychosocial status, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests, interpretation of data, implementation of therapeutic plans, including medications, and follow-through. This individual will also be responsible for supporting shared decision-making;advance care planning, health education, counseling and support of both patients and caregivers; prevention of disease and health maintenance; and be highly effective working with other providers in the context of a multidisciplinary team and making appropriate referrals. In addition, the clinician should possess strong clinical skills in acute care and minor musculoskeletal injuries/illnesses. The associate provider would function as an integral member of the care team and MAY carry a small panel of patients of their own as well as care for patients of other providers on their team.
