• Practice in a beautifully designed, functional and well equipped medical office with internal medicine physician support in a collegial supportive environment.
• A internal medicine physician assistant is desired to join a staff of eight physicians and seven advanced practice providers.
• The physician assistant must have the ability to manage complex cases and work well in a team environment.
• Providers with prior clinical experience are preferred.

• OSF St. Joseph Medical Center includes a medical staff of over 300 physicians, 157 licensed beds, all private rooms, and a 32-bed comprehensive care center using a universal bed model approach with patients. This Level II trauma center provides medical, surgical, obstetric, intensive care, and post intensive care units; a full range of cardiovascular, neuroscience and orthopedic services; and a skilled nursing facility for those patients in need of transition from acute care to home or nursing home. OSF St. Joseph is a tertiary referral center for many surrounding community hospitals, and has a wide range of specialty services at our Bloomington campus.

The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Peoria seeks Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologists for multiple positions as Assistant/Associate Professor/Professor of Pediatrics to enhance a growing division. The position requires 3 years of Pediatrics Residency and 3 years of Hematology/Oncology Fellowship and can be tenure or non-tenure. The ideal candidate will be BC/BE in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hematology/Oncology and will hold or have applied for an Illinois physician’s license. This is a faculty position, but candidates with preferred qualifications may be considered for a Division Head appointment.

The position includes care of inpatients and outpatients with a variety of pediatric hematologic and oncologic problems, including those followed in the Hemoglobinopathy Clinic and the St. Jude’s Midwest Affiliate. See referral hematology/oncology consultations from throughout the Central Illinois Region. Fully participate in teaching programs in hematology and oncology for undergraduate medical students and residents and participate in the undergraduate, graduate, and continuing education programs of the Department. Organize and conduct bench and/or clinical research in the field of pediatric hematology/oncology. Participate in cooperative research efforts and clinical trials in conjunction with ongoing research protocols at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, Tennessee, and as a participant in the Children’s Oncology Group (COG).

The primary teaching hospital of the UICOMP is the Children’s Hospital of Illinois at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center (CHOI), a tertiary care facility serving a 37 county region with a population base of over two million. CHOI provides comprehensive services to children, including Level IV NICU and a state-designated Pediatric Critical Care Center. CHOI is a major medical facility with 124 beds and a 32 bed critical care unit and the only Level 1 trauma center in Illinois outside of Chicago. The Jump Trading Simulation Education Center, a state of the art simulation facility with over 40,000 square feet of space for faculty and other resources, is a joint venture between UICOMP and CHOI and is located on the OSF campus.
