OPEN POSITION:
Physician Assistant – Surgery Assist (Urology)
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00am to 5:00pm
EMPLOYMENT STATUS:
Employee (W2)
COMPENSATION:
- $85,000 to $110,000 Base Salary, dependent upon experience
- Annual Discretionary Bonus
- $2,500 Annually for CEUs

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new Surgical Physician Assistant will work as the First Assist to a busy surgeon in the hospital setting.
The PA will see a variable number of patients per day, depending on the type of patient appointments that have been scheduled and the needs of the surgeon.
The surgeon is an expert in robotics and the new PA will work heavily in that area.
Very rarely, the PA will be required to do post-operative rounding on weekends when needed.
This PA will receive cross-training in the urology clinic and serve as a back-up for absences as needed.
This organization utilizes the Allscripts PRO electronic health record system.
REQUIREMENTS:
- valid California PA license
- current DEA or be DEA-eligible
- 1+ year experience in urology and/or surgery is REQUIRED
- experience with robotics is strongly preferred
- no new grads, please
