Adult Hospitalist Practice in Fredericksburg, VA, is currently interviewing Physician Assistant or Physician Assistant for a full-time position. Fredericksburg Hospitalist Group (FHG), a well-established, locally physician owned hospitalist practice in Fredericksburg, Virginia. Since 2000, our exceptional team of physicians has experienced tremendous growth while serving the Fredericksburg and Stafford community. FHG provides inpatient services within Mary Washington Hospital, (400+ beds) and Stafford Hospital (100 beds).
Our office is located one hour south of Washington, DC and one hour north of Richmond, VA. The Fredericksburg area is one of the fastest growing communities and has some of the highest per capita incomes in the state of Virginia.
Responsibilities: (Under supervision of assigned Hospitalist)
• Performs diagnostic and therapeutic tasks leading to a team-based, physician-directed therapeutic plan of care.
• Assists in gathering the data necessary to implement the therapeutic plan of the physician.
• Provides continuity care and advocacy for patients,
• Serves as liaison between physicians and patients,
• Performs and records H&P’s.
• Daily rounds on all patients on service, identifying current problems.
• Completion of medical records and documentation in a timely manner.
The Hospitalist Midlevel Practitioner will also participate in Hospitalist-related Quality Improvement projects and assume duties and responsibilities as directed by the Medical Director of Hospitalist Services within the Practitioners scope of practice
Qualifications:
The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA approved physician assistant program, NCCPA certification or eligibility, and Virginia State licensure.
