Part-time, weekend need for a NP or PA
Will be providing In-patient medical care to patients in Psych area of hospital
Will cover every Saturday and Sunday starting at 7am and round on in-patients.
Usually takes 6-8 hours each day.
Approximately 20 patients per day between new patients and follow-ups.
Will perform medical eval on new admits and treat patients already in hospital for primary care, asthma, diabetes and other chronic illnesses.
The physician will determine who is admitted and patients won't be on IV or oxygen care or require a high level of medical care.
Must have an IL license and controlled substance license, but doesn't have to have a DEA as they don't prescribe narcotics or treat for pain.
It's a freestanding facility that does not have lab or xrays on-site.
There is an Adult area and also a Children's Pavilion that are right next to each other.
Will see patients at both places so must be comfortable seeing patients that are 8 yrs of age and up.
Will consider a newer grad as long as they are dependable and available to work every weekend.
