• OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center is seeking a physician assistant to join our team. Prior experience is a plus.
• Responsibilities include nursing home rounds and assisting with patient and staff education. Perform rounds on Skilled Nursing Facility practice patients.
• Participation in call via phone and faxed communication in rotation with APPs within the practice. Home Care Triage staff triage communication before sending onto APP. Physician back-up is always available to APP on call.
• The OSF Skilled Nursing Facility Practice is APP driven and physician led. Presently, it is comprised of 21 skilled nursing facilities/transitional care units and swing beds throughout the OSF ministry. We are currently looking for an APP to serve within the Bloomington market.
• This position includes a competitive base salary commensurate with experience. Benefits include CME, association membership dues, holidays, and vacation weeks. Health, life, and dental insurance, and matching 401K are included in our benefit package.
• OSF St. Joseph Medical Center includes a medical staff of over 300 physicians, 157 licensed beds, all private rooms, and a 32-bed comprehensive care center using a universal bed model approach with patients. This Level II trauma center provides medical, surgical, obstetric, intensive care, and post intensive care units; a full range of cardiovascular, neuroscience and orthopedic services; and a skilled nursing facility for those patients in need of transition from acute care to home or nursing home. OSF St. Joseph is a tertiary referral center for many surrounding community hospitals, and has a wide range of specialty services at our Bloomington campus.
