COMPANY PROFILE:
Well-established, mid-sized family practice serving the greater Washington, DC, area. Approximately 50% of patients are adult and 50% are pediatric. The culture of the practice is professional and friendly. All staff (clinical and non) hold themselves to extremely high standards and provide only the best possible patient experience.

The practice provides continual trainings and education in an efficient, high-tech environment. Their commitment to learning is further illustrated with their generous time off and allowance for CMEs. They believe strongly in work-life balance and creating a harmonious environment where clinicians, staff, and patients are happy.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Within a family practice environment, perform primarily as a women's health provider, complementing the skill sets and areas of specialty of the other providers in the practice. Specifically, this provider must be able to place IUDs. This provider will also provide general family practice, although the focus will be in the area of women's health.

This provider will ultimately see 25+ patients per day, working gradually up to that level as the provider becomes comfortable and the patient base is acquired. Initially, the daily patient volume will typically be 20 or fewer appointments.

All work is performed with the assistance of the dedicated and trained support staff. All patients are scheduled by the in-office scheduling team and prepped for their visits by a skilled Medical Assistant. There are also friendly and personable front desk staff members, as well as an accessible and knowledgeable office manager for any administrative needs.

This provider will use the Epic and AllScripts EMR systems at an extremely detailed level.

There are some minimal on-call duties (phone triage only) that are shared equally by all providers in the practice. Each provider serves one week on call, with the rotation coming back around after each provider's "turn". The frequency of call will decrease as the practice grows and, currently, providers receive few (or no) calls each evening.

REQUIREMENTS:
- valid state (Virginia) PA license
- current DEA/prescriptive authority
- ability to place IUDs
- experience in women's health
- high-level EMR user (role will require mastery of both Epic and AllScripts)
