Job Description

Last Update: 1/25/18
Small out-patient clinic in southwestern Oregon is in need of a Physician Assistant.

There are 10 providers (7 physicians, 3 PAs). After-hours call is shared by everyone, so it’s currently about 3 days per month each. The more providers there are, the less call. They are open until 8:00 p.m. each evening, so call does not begin until after that and is rarely very difficult.
Providers are allotted a lot of latitude about length of visits.
For mid-levels working in the practice: Competitive salary plus bonuses. They also provide health insurance and a generous pension plan. They have have a bonus program that is based on how much work they do, and can bring additional income of $20,000 per year or more, depending on volume of patients. They don’t push anyone beyond their “comfort level” in terms of numbers of patients as they want to make sure each provider has adequate time with each patient. They need to eventually be able to see between 16 and 22 patients per day. They work 4 days per week, just like the physicians, and are in the same after-hours call rotation. Their midlevels have a few of their own patients, but mostly they provide overflow for same-day visits, which tend to be the colds/flus and shorter visits.
