This psychiatric Physician Assistant (PA) is a member of the mental health team working in the Fayetteville, Arkansas. This PA will be an independent provider within the general mental health outpatient and inpatient clinics as needed. As such, he/she will perform patient mental health assessments/consultations and provide ongoing case management. The PA will initiate and implement outpatient plans of care for each patient; initiate and monitor the patient's medication regimen. The PA will order laboratory and diagnostic tests and evaluate the results with consultation when necessary. The PA has prescriptive authority without co-signature for outpatient pharmaceuticals within the Scope of Practice using the current medical center formulary. The incumbent may provide a broad range of assessment, counseling, education, outreach, referral and program evaluation duties in support of mental health services using Tele-Health technology.
