The Marrow transplant Unit at VA Puget Sound is a multidisciplinary unit that carries our clinical tasks related to Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation (HSCT) for patients with a range of hematologic malignancies for which HSCT is indicated. The incumbent serves as the primary point of contact for patients and their families. Duties include but are not limited to the following: Coordinate of care, examination of patients prior to and after receiving chemotherapy, and evaluation of appropriate laboratory, radiographic and other relevant diagnostic test Schedule appropriate follow-up appointments Order appropriate tests to monitor the effects of therapy Use prescriptive authority to aide in patient treatment, pain medication, and management Integrate of all aspect of care for veterans undergoing HSCT with emphasis on autologous HSCT Manage problems relating directly to the HSCT diagnosis Execute emergency procedures related to treatment side effect Coordinate care for patients in bi-directional transition between inpatient/outpatient care Provide assistance to fellow physicians in pursuit of this activity and provide information to fellow physicians to resolve related problems Ensure adequate coverage to support MTU clinic activities Complete documentation of all activities in a patient's medical record Work Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm Functional Statement Title/#: Physician Assistant(Marrow Transplant Unit) /.jb-duties Wrapper for estimated pay section $81170 $117374 End Wrapper for estimated pay section Job Details Application Open Date 7/25/2016 Application Close Date 8/8/2016 end job-details left Organization Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration Who May Apply United States Citizens Status Full Time end job-details right end mystery div end job-details
