OPEN POSITION:

SCHEDULE:

OFFICE HOURS:
- Monday through Friday
- 9:00am to 5:00pm Daily
COMPENSATION:
$45 to $60 per Hour, negotiable depending on experience

COMPANY PROFILE:
This private practice has been serving residents of the local community since 1990. They have a diverse staff, offering translation services in Korean, Russian, and Spanish. They offer a full scope of family practice services, seeing patients of all ages in a welcoming environment.
The owning physician, as well as all of the group’s employees, take great pride in the fact that they keep everything in-house, ensuring that patients do not receive calls from outsider billers, call centers, etc. They are proud of their long-standing presence in the community and of their reputation for providing high-quality, thorough care in a pleasant, reassuring environment.
Due to the prevalence of area practices being owned by large healthcare systems, this practice has been experiencing unprecedented growth recently, as patients are drawn to its “mom and pop” environment and accessibility that can’t be offered by the larger organizations. They are one of the most popular family practices in the area with a steady stream of new patients and referrals.
On a more personal level for the individuals who work in the practice, the atmosphere is friendly and team-oriented. The staff and clinical providers are very nice and enjoy working with each other in a collaborative environment. The owning physician enjoys participating in overseas mission trips to distressed areas, which allows a high level of autonomy for the other providers in the practice. There is open communication and an unrivaled level of flexibility, allowing for excellent work/life balance.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The new PA will work very autonomously, ultimately building up their own patient base and only working with the collaborating physician as needed. As the physician frequently travels for mission trips, comfort with a high level of autonomy is critical to success in this position.
The PA will see an average of 25-30 patients per day, with all visits prepped by a skilled clinical assistant.
Nearly all visits are appointment-based. The practice is very busy and only facilitates a few walk-ins per day.
All services are within the full scope of family practice, treating patients of all ages.
There are occasional on-call duties when the physician is unavailable. This is phone triage only and calls are very minimal, as this is not an emergency service.
The practice utilizes the AllScripts electronic health record and employs a medical scribe to assist providers with documentation.
Please note that there is a service dog in the office, so applicants with dog allergies or phobias should be aware.
REQUIREMENTS:
- valid Washington PA license
- current DEA or be DEA-eligible
- at least 1 year of relevant experience as a licensed PA; 2+ years preferred
- we are unable to consider new graduates at this time
