Physician Assistant - (PA) Locum Tenens
Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is needed for outpatient work within a jail facility and will be treating and seeing inmates that are waiting to be transferred or waiting for a court date. Cases seen are intake physicals, coughs, colds, flu, suturing, allergies, etc. Typical numbers of patients seen are 4-5 per 12-hour shift. Shifts are 6am-6pm; 6pm-6am; 1am-6pm; 7am-3pm. There is also a "float position" available from 2pm-6pm - Monday through Friday and 8am-8pm, 8pm-8am for weekends -Saturday and Sunday. Call Staff Care for more information.
A physician assistant (PA)(locum tenens) practices medicine under the supervision of a physician and/or surgeon. In addition to a bachelor's degree, a physicians assistant must complete 2 years of accredited training. They are trained to provide patient care, diagnose and treat individuals with injuries and illnesses, and administer treatment.
